Day 1: Thrills and Luxury on Yas Island
Our adventure began at the remarkable W Hotel, situated right over the F1 track on Yas Island. 20 minutes away from the airport. The hotel’s incredible attention to detail and top-notch service. The creative room category names added a fun touch to our stay.
Next on the agenda was a visit to the Hilton Yas Island best for families with good size rooms and all-inclusive prices and the WB Hotel. Both hotels are popular with travel agents, as they offer guests complimentary access to the nearby theme parks, providing excellent value for money. Lunch with Chef Bugs Bunny at the WB Hotel was a delightful and whimsical experience, blending luxury with childhood nostalgia.
The afternoon was dedicated to exploring Warner Bros World, Ferrari World, and Yas Waterworld. While some of us braved the exhilarating roller coasters at Ferrari World, others enjoyed the exciting rides at Yas Waterworld. Both parks provided endless fun and thrills.
Our evening was spent at the Etihad Arena, thanks to Etihad Airways, where we watched an awe-inspiring Cirque Du Soleil show – Crystal . The fast-paced, mesmerizing performance left us all spellbound, making it a memorable conclusion to our first day.
Day 2: Cultural and Historical Immersion
Day two began with a visit to the opulent Emirates Palace, a former presidential palace turned luxurious hotel. The grandeur and elegance of the palace were truly breathtaking. We then checked into the serene Shangri-La Hotel, where we had a few hours to relax and soak in the luxurious surroundings.
In the late afternoon, we visited the iconic Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque at sunset. The blend of colours and the serene atmosphere made it a must-visit on any Abu Dhabi itinerary. Plus, entry to mosque is free!!
Returning to the Shangri-La, we had the unique experience of traveling between hotels in a traditional abra boat, a charming and scenic way to end the day.
Day 3: Beach Bliss and Celebrations
Our third day was all about enjoying the best beaches Abu Dhabi has to offer. We explored the beach properties of Rixos and Rotana on Saadiyat Island, renowned for their pristine sands and crystal-clear waters. Naturally, we couldn’t resist taking a swim to truly experience these beautiful beaches.
The day also included birthday celebrations and a visit to the Ritz Carlton, the only hotel within walking distance of the Grand Mosque. Its prime location makes it an excellent choice for those looking to combine luxury with cultural exploration.
