I just knew as I stepped off the plane in Preveza, I was going to fall in love with Greece all over again…

I flew into Preveza which is on the mainland of Greece and had a 1.5-hour transfer to our first lovely hotel by Marbella Collection which was the Elix. The Elix is located
approximately 1 hour away from Parga.

As I stepped into the reception of the Elix it was a nice bright and welcoming space, I was instantly made to feel welcome and the view from the reception was breath taking. The food was impeccable, and you are spoilt for choice, we ordered a few dishes from the hotels pool side restaurant to share that included Greek Salad Pizza and lots of Greek Salad. We were well and truly spoilt.

The rooms at the Elix are lovely we were treated to a shared pool room which meant the pool outside our room was shared with 5 or 6 other rooms, this was lovely and inviting and
was so relaxing to look out over the sea views with a pool just there for you to take a dip into.

The beach at The Elix is lovely and secluded. However, it is down several stairs, but the hotel has thought of every detail and installed a lift for clients to use to get down to the beach to limit the number of steps. Once on the beach you will find a cute beach bar and lots of sunbeds to beach with the sound of the sea next to you.

The next day we took a day trip to Parga which is the closest town to The Elix. We took a cab which took us just under an hour to get to Parga. Parga is a cute little town filled with lovely little gift shops and bars for you to enjoy. Although to get the best views of the town you need to climb to the top of the hill which does mean lots of steps.

We then departed The Elix to move on to our next hotel which was the Marbella Hotel by Marbella Collection. This hotel is on Corfu Island and is about half an hour from Corfu Old Town. When staying at either hotel you can book a split the duration holiday between the hotels and the hotel group offer a boat excursion/transfer between the properties. The boat excursion takes about 1.5 hours and can include a few stops along the way. This means you will collect a boat 10 minutes away from the Elix and this will take you straight to the Marbella hotel. You then just need to walk under a bridge to get into the hotel and all your luggage is transported for you.

The Marbella hotel is a family friendly hotel which has a water park onsite for families and as I walk into the reception of the hotel, I can feel the relaxed and friendly feeling of all the
staff. We were treated to yet another lovely room which was in one of the annex buildings of the hotel, so the room was located around a 2-to-3-minute walk from the reception however my luggage was taken straight to my room for me. This hotel is very much on the larger side and has several room types and annex buildings.

The room I was allocated had a side sea view and had two bedrooms and would be perfect for families wanting a separate sleeping area for children.

Marbella Hotel has a variety of restaurants including a buffet restaurant but also a French inspired restaurant and a Pan Asian inspired one too, it also has different bars you can dine
at throughout the day too included a beach bar and pool bars. We stayed on an all-inclusive basis, which was lovely and easy and around the pool waiters were very attentive, asking if they could get us anything else.

Whilst we stayed at the Marbella Hotel, we also visited The Nido Hotel which is located next door and is under the Marbella Collection too.

The Nido Hotel is a lovely adult only hotel which is a small luxury hotel of the world. Nido Hotel has the feel of complete relaxation and peace and offers a complete 5-star holiday.
With drink and bar snacks available at the private beach and by the pool you are completely looked after from start to visit.

As I walked into the reception it was a lovely venetian feel and with gentle background music playing as you are checked from the outside patio you really do feel you have started your holiday.

The rooms at Nido are made with privacy in mind, all rooms are designed for relaxation and peace.

The rooms with private pools and Jacuzzis are made to help clients really unwind and turn off from the stresses of the day-to-day world.

All three hotels that I saw in the Marbella Collection in Greece offer the perfect package whether it is an adult only holiday with relaxation in mind or a family friendly holiday with activities with to keep everyone happy.

As I sit on the aircraft back to the UK, I am already planning my next trip to Greece
